JAMAIS VU SOL
Exploring Our Unfamiliar Earth in Paintings ☼ Naked Lounge, October 2024
A huge theme in my work in the last decade has been trying to show my viewers the world in a new light, as if we are visitors to this planet, strangers in a strange land. Truly, this rock in space is a wonder, if we only have eyes to see. Combining work from the Space Cowgirls, Deconstructed Landscapes, and my latest UFO Series showcases my exploration of this theme over the years. What would Earth look like to someone outside of our current reality? How would undeniable evidence of visitors from another world change the way we interact with our own?
It is my hope that my work reignites a passion for our planet in the viewer, inspires them to take up their birthright as protector and steward of our miraculous Earth, and stirs the imagination for a new future for our world together.
There is no Planet B. Let’s make it count.
