River Dweller

$550.00

18x24 inches

Mixed media on varnished, gallery-wrapped canvas

The rainbow trout is ubiquitous in the lakes and rivers in Northern California. I remember many a camping trip growing up, waking at the crack of dawn and taking our fishing poles to the water’s edge to sit and patiently wait for the bobber to dip on the serene lake’s surface. Even as a kid I found fishing meditative and didn’t seem to mind staring into the quiet water for hours, gathering fish to eat for breakfast. This painting is an homage to the gorgeous waters of Northern California, full of life and rainbow trout.
